Klimawandel und Umweltzerstörung sind existenzielle Bedrohungen für Europa und die Welt. Mit dem europäischen Grünen Deal wollen wir daher den Übergang zu einer modernen, ressourceneffizienten und wettbewerbsfähigen Wirtschaft schaffen, die
- bis 2050 keine Netto-Treibhausgase mehr ausstößt,
- ihr Wachstum von der Ressourcennutzung abkoppelt,
- niemanden, weder Mensch noch Region, im Stich lässt.
Der europäische Grüne Deal führt uns auch aus der Corona-Krise: Ein Drittel der 1,8 Bio. EUR schweren Investitionen aus dem Aufbauplan NextGenerationEU und dem 7-jährigen Haushalt der EU dienen der Finanzierung des Grünen Deals.
Im Sinne einer Senkung der Netto-Treibhausgasemissionen bis 2030 um mindestens 55 % gegenüber 1990 hat die EU-Kommission konkrete Vorschläge für eine neue Klima-, Energie-, Verkehrs- und Steuerpolitik vorgelegt. Mehr zur Umsetzung des europäischen Grünen Deals
13. Dezember 2023 – Auf der UN-Klimakonferenz in Dubai wurde beschlossen, die Nettoemissionen bis 2050 auf Null zu senken und in diesem entscheidenden Jahrzehnt dringende Maßnahmen zu ergreifen. So einigten sich die Teilnehmerstaaten auf eine Abkehr von fossilen Brennstoffen und eine Verringerung der Emissionen um 43 % bis 2030. Im gleichen Zeitraum sollen der Anteil an erneuerbaren Energien verdreifacht und die Energieeffizienzrate verdoppelt werden. Es wird immer wichtiger, dass wir uns an den Klimawandel anpassen. Daher stellt die EU Rekordsummen für die internationale Klimawende bereit.
