Continha quatro secções: panorâmica das finanças da UE num determinado ano; receitas da UE; despesas do orçamento da UE; anexos (despesas e receitas por rubrica, tipo de recurso e Estado-Membro; saldos orçamentais operacionais; cobranças e correções financeiras e atividades de contração e concessão de empréstimos). A última edição do relatório financeiro foi publicada para o ano de 2018. O relatório foi substituído pela apresentação integrada de relatórios financeiros e de prestação de contas, Integrated Financial and Accountability Reportinguma versão resumida do relatório financeiro anterior (que inclui principalmente elementos e dados essenciais). O gráfico interativo de despesas e receitas no sítio Europa, que também contém os quadros descarregáveis, fornece dados pormenorizados por Estado-Membro para 2000-2020.
