The Interpreting Europe Conference is the flagship event of the European Commission's Directorate General for Interpretation.
It gathers language professionals, institutional representatives, industry experts, academics, researchers and students in the field of interpreting, language technologies and beyond.
The 2026 edition will take place in Brussels on 26-27 November 2026, and it will focus on “Human voices, smart technologies: Rethinking multilingual communication”. The discussions will explore how interpreting is evolving and how new technologies are changing multilingual communication.
Simultaneous interpreting will be provided from English, French, German, Italian, Spanish into English, French, German and International Sign.
Closed-captioning and automatic translation will be displayed in all EU official languages.
You can join in person or via web streaming. Participation is free of charge.
