Natalia Bondonno is Director of the Meetings and Publishing Division in the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management at United Nations Headquarters in New York. In this role, she oversees complex multilingual conference operations, including interpretation, verbatim reporting, publishing, and printing services that support the work of the United Nations.
Since 2015, Ms. Bondonno has played a leading role in the development and implementation of language technologies. She currently serves as project manager for the machine-readable documents initiative, which enables the production of United Nations documentation in the AKN4UN XML format, and for the eAPG interpretation assignment management system.
Ms. Bondonno also chairs the International Annual Meeting on Language Arrangements, Documentation and Publications (IAMLADP) Task Force on Language Technologies. In addition, she co-leads the High-Level Committee on Management (HLCM) Common Initiative for AI-Powered Language Services, where she chairs the policy workstream, advancing the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in the provision of language services.
