Λεπτομέρειες Ημερομηνία δημοσίευσης7 Δεκεμβρίου 2016 (Τελευταία επικαιροποίηση την/στις: 20 Ιουνίου 2023) Περιγραφή Κάθε χρόνο η Επιτροπή καταρτίζει μια ετήσια έκθεση για τη διαχείριση και τις επιδόσεις, η οποία αποτελεί επισκόπηση των αποτελεσμάτων που επιτεύχθηκαν με τον προϋπολογισμό της ΕΕ, και του τρόπου διαχείρισης και προστασίας του. Αυτή η έκθεση είναι η κύρια συνεισφορά της Επιτροπής στην ετήσια διαδικασία απαλλαγής για την εκτέλεση του προϋπολογισμού. Στην έκθεση περιγράφονται τα μέτρα που λαμβάνει η Επιτροπή προκειμένου να διασφαλίσει ότι η διαχείριση του προϋπολογισμού της ΕΕ πραγματοποιείται σύμφωνα με τα υψηλότερα πρότυπα χρηστής δημοσιονομικής διαχείρισης. Με την έγκριση αυτής της έκθεσης, η Επιτροπή αναλαμβάνει τη συνολική πολιτική ευθύνη για τη διαχείριση του προϋπολογισμού της ΕΕ. Πρόκειται για το τελικό στάδιο του ετήσιου κύκλου σχεδιασμού, προγραμματισμού και υποβολής εκθέσεων της Επιτροπής. Η ετήσια έκθεση για τη διαχείριση και τις επιδόσεις του προϋπολογισμού της ΕΕ αποτελεί μέρος της ενοποιημένης δέσμης δημοσιονομικών εκθέσεων και εκθέσεων λογοδοσίας της Επιτροπής, η οποία περιλαμβάνει και άλλες εκθέσεις, π.χ., ενοποιημένους λογαριασμούς. Η ενοποιημένη δέσμη δημοσιονομικών εκθέσεων και εκθέσεων λογοδοσίας είναι η κύρια συνεισφορά της Επιτροπής στην ετήσια διαδικασία απαλλαγής μέσω της οποίας το Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο και το Συμβούλιο δίνουν την τελική έγκρισή τους για την εκτέλεση του προϋπολογισμού για ένα συγκεκριμένο έτος.
