Jacques Delors (1925–2023) Jacques Delors je udejanjil svojo vizijo združene Evrope. Bil je goreč zagovornik povojne evropske integracije in arhitekt Evropske unije, kot jo poznamo danes. Od januarja 1985 do konca leta 1994 je tri mandate predsedoval Evropski komisiji. To obdobje je zaznamovala njegova močna zavezanost svobodi, socialni pravičnosti in solidarnosti – kar so vrednote, ki so zdaj zakoreninjene v naši Uniji.
