€90 billion support package for Ukraine for 2026-2027 presented

Following the agreement at the European Council in December 2025, the Commission has presented a set of proposals to secure continuous financial support to Ukraine in 2026 and 2027 worth €90 billion. It is now for the Parliament and Council to adopt the legislation.

President von der Leyen strengthens EU partnerships in the Middle East

President von der Leyen visited Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. In Amman, she participated to the first ever EU-Jordan Summit. In Damascus she announced EU financial support of €620 million for 2026 and 2027. Finally in Beirut she emphasised the EU and Lebanon’s strong partnership.
