Teaching methods

The European Commission helps countries develop teaching methods, and offers related resources for educational staff.

Overview

Each EU country is responsible for developing its own educational system and teaching methods, while the EU supports these national activities for issues of shared concern.

The European Commission offers several platforms where it makes teaching materials available, and where teachers and other educational staff can share their own materials and resources.

    Educational platforms for schools

    • eTwinning is a platform for staff working in schools in Europe with opportunities for professional development and educational projects created by its community
    • the School Education Gateway is an online community for school education with teaching materials and tutorials ready for use in the classroom

    Other platforms

    • EPALE is a multilingual open membership community for adult learning in Europe, with forums, resources and opportunities to make professional connections
