This instrument aims tomaximise the impact of EU actions abroad, powering Global Gatewayimprove the visibility of EU support in partner countriesincrease support to candidate countries preparing for EU accession.It will also include a €15 billion reserve to respond quickly to emergencies and unexpected needs. Continued support for Ukraine The proposed long-term budget reaffirms the EU's commitment to Ukraine by mobilising up to €100 billion between 2028 and 2034, depending on the needs. This funding will beflexible, to meet changing and unpredictable needsseparate from military support, which remains under the European Peace Facility. Investing in peace and security The proposed budget also allocates €3.4 billion to support Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) initiatives.
