The Research Executive Agency has received 139 project proposals yesterday by the call deadline for the MSCA-NIGHT 2020bis call for proposals. Compared to last year, it represents a 40% increase in proposal submission for this last Marie Skłodowska-Curie call under Horizon 2020. In total, €8 million are available to fund events that will bring researchers closer to the general public, showcase the impact of researchers’ work on people’s lives and encourage young people to follow research careers. The events will take place on 24 September 2021 across Europe. Projects will be selected for funding with the support of external independent evaluators drawn from the European Commission's experts' database. Project evaluations are expected to start at the end of January and the selection of projects will be known by mid-April at the latest. The projects will start in May-June 2021.
