Role of national consumer bodies

Involving national consumer organisations in EU policy-making is important in producing better and more effective consumer protection legislation.

The goal of national consumer organisations is to ensure that consumers are aware of their rights and are able to exercise them. Another goal is to represent EU consumers in the creation of consumer protection legislation.
