Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino School building security and structural rehabilitation plan (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 3.3)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes to climate recovery also by enhancing school buildings’ safety and energy consumption. In particular, this measure aims to contribute to the improvement of energy classes and leading to lower consumption and CO2 emissions as well as to increase structural safety of buildings.Particular attention is paid to the most disadvantaged areas with the aim of tackling and eliminating economic and social imbalances.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 4.4 billion. The project is part of this investment.The Istituto Superiore "Enzo Ferrari" of Susa is located in corso Couvert, 21.It was born in the school year 1964/65, on the initiative of Prof.Giuseppe Perino, as a detached headquarters of the ""Camillo Olivetti"" of Ivrea and the "G.B. Pininfarina" of Moncalieri; since 1985/86 has acquired legal personality and administrative autonomy, to offer today the fields of study Liceo scientifico, Istituto tecnico, Istituto professionale.The complex is spread over a very articulated plan and consists of three buildings: a main building on four floors, the workshops and finally the laboratories, the gym and the auditorium.The pertinent area has, in addition to green areas, parking spaces.The supporting structure is in reinforced concrete, with the slabs in concrete.The checks carried out in all the premises, to complete the previous ones in the year 2021, have found possible detachments from the intrados, with risk for the user.The project includes a series of extraordinary maintenance works, aimed at securing the floors and energy improvement, such as: installation of the construction site and work areas removal of the plant elements from the ceilings removal of the existing lightweight suspended ceiling renovation of the lower surface with application of anti-melting mesh galvanized welded or alternatively with sheets in fibro-reinforced gypsum restoration of the existing facilities with installation of LED lamps makeover changing rooms, Gym toilets realization toilet service for the disabled, in the local workshops building restoration and local water services to the various floors and auditorium.Top 100 recipients:CITTÀ METROPOLITANA DI TORINO Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino ReferenceM4C1Project locations Italy EU contribution€4 400 000 000
