On 9 March, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, presented the new set of reforms that the Commission will be supporting in all 27 Member States through the Technical Support Instrument. The Commission will provide support to Member States to design and implement reforms to enhance their resilience against crises, speed up recovery and sustainable growth for improving citizens’ life and businesses activities. The support is provided through high-level expertise in a broad range of sectors, including the green and digital transitions, public administration and governance, migration management, support to refugees and asylum seekers, support to vulnerable children at risk of social exclusion, tax policies, support to businesses, financial sector, labour market, education systems, social services, health care, cybersecurity. Moreover, the TSI will continue providing technical support to help Member States implement their Recovery and Resilience Plans in order to recover from the social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, to improve the quality of public services and to reinforce sustainable and inclusive economic growth. Initiated in 2021, the TSI is the successor of the Structural Reform Support Programme (SRSP). Since 2017, both programmes have helped design, develop and implement over 1500 reform projects in 27 Member States.
