CloseThis event has ended. In the workshop, the meaning and use of clear and plain language in Latvia will be discussed. We will explore what text authors and translators need to consider to ensure that their texts are quickly and easily understood by everyone. This year, particular attention will be paid to the European Accessibility Act, or Directive (EU) 2019/882, which enters into force next year. The directive is raising awareness among both public and private organisations about the need to meet various accessibility requirements, including the use of clear language. Experts from academia, public administration, and the finance and telecommunications sectors will share their best practices on this topic.
