The Consumer Policy Advisory Group (CPAG)

The CPAG is the Commission's main forum to consult with national and European consumer policy stakeholders with regard to the implementation of the New Consumer Agenda.

Role of the CPAG

As part of a new model of partnership between the Commission, Member States and other stakeholders, the CPAG will advise the Commission on the implementation as well as the monitoring of the new consumer agenda.

The group will complement other existing entities maintained by the Commission, notably the Consumer Protection Coordination (CPC) Group, and the Consumer Policy Network (CPN).

It succeeds the European Consumers Consultative Group (ECCG) whose mandate ended in July 2019. The CPAG has a wider membership and partly different mandate.

Call for applications

The call and terms of reference of the new group are available under the Commission register of expert groups as a continuously open call.

CPAG agenda and minutes

The agenda and minutes of the CPAG meetings are available on the Register of Commission expert groups and other similar entities.
