The wooden church was built in 1879, founded by Moise Marin, to provide believers in the old village of Gugești with a space where they could feel closer to God.

Also, on the inner wall at the entrance you can see the names of 8 more founders who participated in the construction of the holy place.

With its tin roof, built of beams and planks, it has the painting glued on canvas made in azure blue, like the sky.

The interior will surprise you with a spectacle of colours, like a well-protected treasure enclosed in simple walls.

The project restoration involved a comprehensive set of activities aiming to preserve, consolidate and rehabilitate the historical monument
