Re-use and recycling of key materials and industrial side streams

The investment aims at promoting a circular economy that re-uses and recycles industrial side and waste streams and other key materials such as battery materials, plastics, textiles, packaging, electrical and electronic equipment, construction and demolition materials.

Business Finland has funded 39 projects with around EUR 110 million. The projects will be completed by the end of Q2/2026.

The factory, which is set for completion by the end of 2025, will convert food industry side streams into sustainable fungi-based protein ingredients.
