The NextGenerationEU funds have allowed for the renewal and expansion of the high-tech equipment in five public hospitals in the Balearic Islands: Son Espases University Hospital, Inca Regional Hospital, Son Llàtzer Hospital, Manacor Hospital, and Can Misses Hospital.

Thanks to a program from the Ministry of Health, financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of computed tomography equipment have been carried out, increasing the diagnostic capabilities of diseases and the viability of rapid therapeutic intervention.

The project has allowed for the renewal, with 100% financing, of equipment over twelve years old and has also involved the deployment of new equipment.

In the Balearic Islands, the Investment Plan in High-Tech Equipment (INVEAT) has involved an investment of over 22 million euros, while the total investment in Spain approaches 800 million.
