The goal of the reform is to make tax collection more efficient and effective, through a higher level of digitalisation and tax compliance, and improve customer service.The reform consists of different tax units, procedures and processes, to offer single point of taxpayer service, legislative changes and implementing a new IT System and digitising the Tax department.The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 32.9 million.The Cyprus Tax Department (CTD) has put into operation on 27/03/2023 an Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) that supports the tax administration functionalities and processes. The functionalities related to the VAT Services are completed and operational within this system as of March 2023. The project should be completed by the end of March 2026.
