The general objective of this measure is to improve the energy efficiency of Latvian municipal buildings.More specifically, the objective of the measure is to improve the energy efficiency of local government buildings and infrastructure in order to reduce annual primary energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.The measure provides for the entry into force of the legal framework for a support program for municipalities that makes available EUR 29 304 000 for the implementation of energy efficiency projects.The projects within the investment shall aim to reduce primary energy consumption by at least 30% in order to save all together 4 544 563 kWh of primary energy per year.The investment will be implemented until the end of 2025.
