Spain has set up pilot projects to develop socio-economic integrated programmes for minimum income beneficiaries with the support of Recovery and Resilience Facility. It has signed 34 agreements (EUR 211 million in total) with 16 regions, (110 mill EUR), 4 municipalities (Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Santander, 26 million EUR) and 14 third sector entities (Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Hogar Sí, Save the Children, Plena Inclusión, Cruz Roja, Cáritas, Fundación La Caixa, EAPN- Canary Islands, Ayuda en Acción, Fundación Bofill, Fundación Esplai, EAPN, CEPAIM for EUR 75 million) targeting different vulnerable groups within the minimum income schemes such as single parents, children in poverty, homeless people, Roma families. The agreements will have an integrated approach focusing on labour markets, education, social support, digitalization, health and long-term care, and housing. Pilot projects are currently ongoing under a framework laid down by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Inclusion. A non-exhaustive list of examples can be found below: Ayuntamiento de Madrid: CINTRAS project Project CiNTRAS (EUR 10 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility) supports families who benefit from the minimum income scheme through counselling. A scientific evaluation of the effectiveness of these forms of support shall be carried out at the end of the project to ensure that social policies are effective. More information can be found on social media here Barcelona: Social and labour market integration for 1,000 vulnerable households This pilot project is based on the experience of Barcelona in the B-MINCOME project on the fight against poverty and inequality in ten districts by fostering entrepreneurship combining financial support with active socio-occupational policies in the fields of training and employment, support for the rental of rooms, promotion of community participation and the social economy. The current project consists of developing appropriate programmes per profile and is combined with the provision of the minimum income of the 1000 participants in this way.
