The goal of the project, led by the chemical company Tanin Sevnica d.d., is to develop a multi-component, multifunctional tannin fertilizer based on wood ash. By using a waste product (wood ash) in the production of the fertilizer, the company is reducing the usage of new raw materials while at the same time increasing the usage of waste.

The prototype will be appropriately tested in a simulated and operational environment, where the efficiency of the product and its impact on soil fertility will be determined.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility is providing funding of EUR 984,195, while the total value of the investment is EUR 2,381,993. The project started in April 2023 and will be finalized by January 2025.
