Copyright: E.ON Hungária Csoport The purpose of the investment is to develop the electricity network with a view to ensuring secure integration of additional capacities to be created by renewable energy sources and increasing the flexibility of the system. In accordance with Hungary’s energy policy strategy, Hungary intends to increase the share of renewables in its energy mix and to triple its current domestic solar power plant capacity by 2030. This requires sufficient network access and necessary grid capacity. The transmission and distribution network needs to be developed to be able to meet these challenges. The investment will therefore contribute to the expansion of some limited grid capacity and the secure integration of additional generation from increased renewable energy production capacity. In particular, the investment includes development elements such as the construction and upgrading of high, medium and low voltage networks, the installation of new substations, the replacement and capacity extension of substation transformers, the construction and replacement of control systems and IT upgrades. Capacity to connect 200,5 MW of renewable generators has been created. The project is supported by EUR 56 293 595. All works are expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.Additional links:https://www.eon.hu/hu/rolunk/sajtoszoba/sajtokozlemenyek/74-milliard-fo…https://www.eon.hu/hu/rolunk/sajtoszoba/sajtokozlemenyek/tobbszaz-hektarnyi-vedett-erdo-ujulhat-meg-az-eon-fejlesztese-nyoman.htmlTop 100 recipients:E.ON Dél-dunántúli Áramhálózati Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság Copyright: E.ON Hungária Csoport Copyright: E.ON Hungária Csoport Copyright: E.ON Hungária Csoport ReferenceC6.I1- C10.I1 in the HU Recovery and Resilience PlanProject locations Hungary EU contribution€56 293 595 Project websitehttps://www.eon.hu/hu/rrf-projekt.html
