This investment, which receives €25 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, is targeted towards companies at various stages of their decarbonisation journey or those companies who have not begun and want to explore developing a climate action plan and beyond for their business. The objectives of the fund are to accelerate the awareness of CO2 abatement opportunities for companies; and, incentivise companies to put in place plans for lower-carbon products, processes and business models, raise the profile of, and increase the urgency of engagement with, the climate and sustainability agenda by Irish-owned enterprises. Over 185 projects have been approved under the fund since its launch, with an allocated grant funding of approximately €1.2 million.
