Responsibilities
The Reform and Investment Task Force manages the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), a cornerstone of NextGenerationEU, an EU unprecedented recovery instrument worth €577 billion in grants and loans aimed at assisting EU Member States' economies in recovering from the Covid-19 crisis. It focuses on building resilience, sustainability, and preparedness for green and digital transitions.
Additionally, the task force implements the Technical Support Instrument (TSI), the main EU programme offering tailored technical expertise to support Member States to design and implement reforms. In this context, it is also responsible for policy development and coordination in the area of public administration and governance in the Member States. The Reform and Investment Taskforce also coordinates the European Semester.
