Machine translation – friend or foe for translators of legal texts?

Welcome to this Translating Europe Workshop for translators who translate (legal) texts into Swedish! We will get to know more about machine translation from an academic point of view, as well as from a practical point of view at the European Commission and the Finnish public administration, and much more.

Languages:

The first presentation, about the roles of machines and humans in the AI era, by Professor Maarit Koponen, is held in Finnish. The rest of the presentations, as well as the panel discussion, are in Swedish, apart from the presentation on the use of machine translation and AI tools at the European Commission and beyond, which is in English.

Registration:
