Network of national contact points on the transparency and targeting of political advertising

Regulation 2024/900 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 March 2024 on the transparency and targeting of political advertising provides for the establishment of a network of national contact points on the transparency and targeting of political advertising.

The network is required to serve as a platform for regular exchange of information, best practices and structured cooperation between national contact points and the Commission on all aspects of Regulation (EU) 2024/900. In particular, the network must facilitate the cooperation at Union level regarding the application and enforcement of Regulation (EU) 2024/900 and facilitate the preparation, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, of guidelines to support sponsors and providers of political advertising services to comply with the requirements of the Regulation.
