With over EUR 32 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 21 youth centres in Bulgaria, of which 10 located in district centres, 10 in non-district centres and one national focus centre. 19,500 young people are expected to take part in the activities of the youth centres by June 2026. The project "Construction of a modern youth center - a key factor for personal development and increasing the employability of young people in the Municipality of Peshtera" is funded with BGN 1.78 million from the RRP. The project envisages the construction and sustainable functioning of a modern youth center in Peshtera, which is expected become a key factor for the personal development and increasing the employability of young people in the Municipality of Peshtera. It will offering a wide range of youth activities on the territory of the municipality, in order to address identified problems and needs of students and young people, improve their personal development and their suitability for employment, in line with the modern trends in Europe and in Bulgaria, as well as local ones. The youth centre will strive to provide a variety of activities (including international) and comprehensive services to young people aged between 13 and 29. 450 students and young people will be covered by the activities in the youth center; 120 students/young people will undergo training to acquire or improve their digital skills (proved with a certificate after a test). At least 20% of the participants in the activities and clubs will be representatives of vulnerable groups, incl. Roma. The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
