With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.

The project "Establishment of a youth centre in the Sofia municipality", supported with BGN 4,3 million from the RRP, foresees the construction of a Youth Center on the territory of the "Nadezhda" district in the Sofia municipality and ensuring its effective functioning.

It will provide a variety of activities and complex services for at least 1,500 young people up to 29 years of age, including young people from vulnerable groups, meeting high standards for youth work, to the needs and desires of young people and to help their personal development, acquisition of new knowledge, skills and competences and suitability for employment.

The building of the Center will be expanded with a new three-storey body, which will have a large theater hall, dance halls and event halls, halls for trainings in arts, science and technology. Active work will begin with young people to build skills in the fields of civic education, leadership skills, language courses, various types of clubs and workshops.

The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
