Youth centre - Kyustendil

With over EUR 27.5 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the establishment of 18 youth centres in Bulgaria.

The project "Kyustendil Youth Center - a key factor for a better future" is funded with BGN 4.26 million from the RRP.

It will support the construction and functioning of a multifunctional youth center in the city of Kyustendil, which will provide a variety of activities (including international) and comprehensive services to help the personal development and employability of students and young people up to the age of 29.

Specific activities are envisaged to motivate young people to participate in local initiatives related to entrepreneurship, knowledge accumulation or skill development, to re-engage dropout students in the learning process (formal and informal), to increase of the share of successful secondary school graduates among vulnerable groups (especially Roma), to increase the interest of students and young people in acquiring knowledge and key competences in various fields, which will support their realization on the labor market.

The Youth Center aims to become an incubator for the development of ideas and initiatives promoting civic engagement and will work for the personal development of young people and to improve their well-being and social inclusion.

The project is expected to be completed by 30 June 2026.
