Water supply system Račica-Velika Štanga - Drinking water supply and savings projects

The project ensured adequate water supply, reduced drinking water losses in the network and provide quality drinking water in the long term in the municipality of Šmartno pri Litiji and ensured a seamless supply of high-quality and safe drinking water for the inhabitants of Račica and Velika Štanga.

A new pressure line of 1.6 km and a supply pipeline of 1.1 km in the settlements of Račica and Veliko Štanga were built. Aquifer has been rebuilt in Velika Štanga, which is now integrated into the remote control system. Račica pumping station has also been renovated and a new electrical connection designed to meet the needs of the Velika Štanga aquifer.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provided funding of EUR 107,459, while the total value of the investment was EUR 296,531. 

The project started in 2020 and was finalised in 2022.
