With €255 815, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the project which will develop and demonstrate in practical conditions a new combined treatment method to enhance nitrogen removal, especially in cold wastewater. The aim is to develop an efficient method for nitrogen removal and recovery that can be integrated into existing activated sludge plants at reasonable cost. Completed by December 2023.
