With €69 900, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the project which aims to pilot the Allbiron method internationally. Allbiron is a groundwater treatment method based on biological purification that removes iron and humus from groundwater without the use of chemicals. The method is based on a controlled biological process and filtration, which can be combined with a conventional clean water treatment process such as alkalisation. The process produces potable water from groundwater that is difficult to treat. The project will be completed by April 2025.
