The aim of the "Waste heat instead of natural gas project" is to recover heat via a heat exchanger in the cooling channel into which the water used for process cooling from production facilities is fed for utilization via a heat pump. The two existing gas burners are replaced by two heat pumps, and new ventilation units are also used for heat recovery. Greenhouse gas emissions are expected to be reduced by 550 tons annually after completion of the project. The project is currently in the construction phase.
