Copyright: Ohře River Basin The revitalization of the Velká Bukovina Reservoir was carried out within the framework of the National Recovery Plan as part of a broader project to restore four small reservoirs (Velká Bukovina Reservoirs I–IV) on an unnamed left-hand tributary of the Bystré River, also known as the Karlovka Cascade Stream. Reconstruction works were carried out on the outlet structures, dam bodies, and floodplain areas. The restoration of the reservoirs aimed to ensure the desired landscape-forming and ecological functions, including water retention in the landscape and the promotion of biodiversity around the Karlovka Stream. The project was awarded the title of Water Management Construction of the Year 2024, highlighting its high-quality execution and contribution to the landscape.
