Copyright: ARNES The aim of the investment is to modernise computer networks at primary and secondary education and adult education organisations. The project is carried out by the Academic and Research Network of Slovenia (ARNES).Computer networks in 663 educational institutions are being modernised, including secondary schools, independent colleges, institutions for children and adolescents with special needs, student homes, adult education organisations, as well as 323 parent primary schools with their subsidiaries. In total, more than 1,600 locations will be modernised. ARNES will maintain the computer networks remotely.The participating institutions will have adequate computer networks to further develop the use of information and communication technology in teaching and learning, leadership and management of institutions. Four public procurements have already been carried out, with another scheduled in 2024. An overview of the situation of the institutions involved was also carried out. The works are ongoing and will be fully completed for each institution at the end of the implementation of the project. Work will take place in 2024 and 2025, such as the supply and testing of equipment and remote testing of equipment maintenance.The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 4.6 million, while the total value of the investment is EUR 5.5 million.
