The upgrade of the Ljubljana railway station - phase A - the construction of a replacement railway overpass across Dunajska cesta will include: replacing and expanding the structure of the existing railway overpass. 

Instead of the current 4 tracks, there will be 6 tracks after the upgrade; adjustment of safety signals, telecommunications devices and stable electric traction devices, reconstruction of Dunajska cesta is planned to ensure a bright profile and also flood protection to enhance resilience to weather impacts. 

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides EUR 33.3 million of funding to the project worth EUR 58.7 million in total. The project started in December 2023.
