Upgrade of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions - Effective treatment of communicable diseases

The goal of the investment is to improve the conditions for the implementation of quality medical treatment of all patients with infectious diseases within the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions of the UKC Ljubljana and thereby enable the public health system in the Central Slovenian (largest) statistical and health region.

Moreover, for some infections and diseases to further improve the effectiveness of detection and treatment of communicable diseases within the national framework.

The investment entails a newly constructed building with all the necessary medical, general and furniture equipment, which will enable the medical treatment of patients in a single location, even during epidemics.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 70 million to the investment worth EUR 156 million in total.

The project activities started in June 2022.

In July 2023, the public procurement for the construction works was published.

The contractor to carry out the works was signed in January 2024.

The investment should be finalised by April 2026.
