Training: additional grants in general practice training

Development of technical-professional, digital and managerial skills of professionals in the healthcare system (Mission 6, Component 2, Investment 2.2)

Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for increasing scholarships for the specific course in general medicine; launching a training plan on safety in terms of hospital infections for all NHS staff; activating a training path for personnel with top roles within NHS bodies in managerial and digital skills and financing specialized medical training contracts.

The investment is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan with EUR 740 million.

The increase in the number of scholarships for general medical practice courses is part of this investment.

It will guarantee the completion of three-year training cycles for an additional 2700 general practitioners over the duration of the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
