In Laval, the administrative residence built in 1972 by Architect Y. Moignet hosts 370 public servants. Too cold in winter, and too hot in summer, the building suffered from poor insulation and an underperforming heating system. The Recovery and Resilience Facility supports 50% of the cost of the renovation (EUR 5 million). This project also benefited local companies by providing them with the possibility to invest in innovative insulation methods using organic materials produced locally. The scale of the project allowed them to hire new workers and train their employees to meet demanding environmental and energy efficiency requirements. Thermal renovation works will allow a reduction of energy consumption by more than 30%. The project is completed.
