The Médio Tejo Local Health Unit (ULS) aims to modernise hospital care and enhance surgical precision through the acquisition of a state-of-the-art robotic surgery system.This €2.4 million investment, fully financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, will enable minimally invasive surgeries in Urology, Gynaecology, and General Surgery.The project includes the installation of the new robotic platform at Tomar Hospital and the specialised training of medical and nursing teams to ensure qualified operation.The equipment has been acquired and will soon be installed at Tomar Hospital, marking the Médio Tejo ULS’s entry into the era of robotic medicine.
