Copyright: Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia The Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia is implementing four projects in the field of justice digitalisation.Environment-friendly, business-friendly and citizen-friendly e-court. The objective of the project is an upgraded IT system that will enable users to access the various electronic services of the judiciary through a single entry point. The upgraded eJudiciary portal will allow users to access the electronic services of the judiciary (existing and upgraded in the context of this investment) to UK, INS, Enforcement and General Role support and to content that is now dispersed at different internet addresses. It is also planned to: graphical renewal of the portal, including improving accessibility for vulnerable groups, technological refurbishment (implementation of e-rules), single entry point renovation, the possibility to add other judicial content to the portal, including links to other justice websites, and upgrading the functionality of information systems or building blocks to upgrade the portal. The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 3.2 million to the investment worth EUR 3.9 million in total. The project started in March 2024 and should be finalised by June 2026.Central Documentation Digitalisation Centre (CDDC) The project aims to develop a system that will digitalise physical documentation in one central location. This will be achieved through the establishment of the CDDC as a specific organisational unit within the judiciary, which will take over the digitalisation of physical documentation in one central location using the equipment (hardware and software) provided by the project. The aim of the project is to set up a CDDC. This will be a dedicated organisational unit within the judiciary specialising in the digitalisation of judicial and court-oriented documentation in physical form, as well as the provision of equipment (hardware and software) to implement digitalisation and train staff to work in the CDDC. The digitised material will be indexed and equipped with sorting data. Centralising digitalisation within the CDDC will allow for digitalised physical material to be made available to the judicial information systems as soon as possible, making digitised documents re-usable and immediately accessible. The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 2 million to the investment worth EUR 2.5 million in total. The project started in March 2024 and should be finalised by June 2026.Development of new tools/functionalities to support court management The project’s objective is to upgrade the IT system for more effective management of personnel records and judicial management. The investment consists of upgrading the i-Su log system with a new central personnel register tool (CKE) and providing new reports (tables, visualisations, graphs, files, documents...) and optimising all systems in the business intelligence environment (data warehouse, business intelligence system, quality management system). The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 480,000 to the investment worth EUR 585,000 in total. The project started in October 2024 and should be finalised by June 2026.New functionalities of the knowledge base The project will support high-quality decision-making and preserve the uniformity of case-law, allowing judges and practitioners to identify legally important content more quickly. The introduction of an intelligent query and an advanced search engine will allow access to the central repository of relevant legal documents. The investment will develop or upgrade and implement three specific tools that pursue specific purposes: essays, internal search engine and DoR. The project will set up access to a central repository of all internally accessible and permissible bases for decision-making by Supreme Court chambers, which will allow, along the lines of the public part of the legal information system: intelligent query with the help of a specific advanced search engine, comparison of applications with an existing repository created or used in the Supreme Court to study the case and decide the case in the exercise of judicial functions, link to external systems (e.g. European Court of Human Rights, CJEU).The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 757,000 to the investment worth EUR 923,000 in total. The project started in October 2024 and should be finalised by June 2026. ReferenceC2.K7.INProject locations Slovenia EU contribution€757 000 Project websitehttps://sodisce.si/...
