Support for energy-efficient street lighting systems - Botevgrad Municipality

Funded with  EUR 76 million from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the measure aims to increase energy efficiency, reduce energy costs for outdoor artificial lighting and improve living conditions for the population in the country through technological renewal and modernisation of outdoor artificial lighting systems.

The investment aims at achieving on average at least a 30% primary energy demand reduction.

The Botevgrad Municipality is among  the 68 municipalitiеs, selected under the first call for applications of the programme, and will receive BGN 1 097 565.87  for the reconstruction and modernisation of the  outdoor artificial lighting systems of the city of Botevgrad and the villages Vrachesh, Litakovo, Novachene, Skravena, Trudovets.

The implementation is expected to be completed by 21 February 2025.
