Support for decarbonisation, productivity, and competitiveness of companies

The measure supports companies increasing their productivity, particularly sustainable investments such as advanced technology and business process automation leading towards decarbonization, green and digital transition and greater long-term productivity of organizations. These investments aim at better recovery, resilience, growth and competitiveness of the economy.

Investments comply with a specific set of environmental performance criteria, in particular energy and material efficiency, as well as the ‘do no significant harm’ principle. In addition, the co-financing agreements commit the recipients to use additional measurable sustainability targets that must to be achieved at the completion of the investment.

SPIRIT - Slovenia Business Development Agency published a public call for project proposals for promoting large investments for greater productivity and competitiveness in March 2022. The goal was to finance 59 projects with EUR 88.5 million of Recovery and Resilience Facility funding.

The interest from the companies surpassed expectations, as they submitted 97 applications, requesting funding of EUR 147.6 million. Due to the high quality of projects, the Ministry of Economy increased the funding to EUR 95.5 million, selecting 63 projects in November 2022.
