Copyright: Città metropolitana di Torino Investment in soft mobility (National Plan of Cycle Path) (Mission 2 – Component 2: Investment 4.1)Italy’s Recovery and resilience plan provides for the construction of at least 565 km of cycling lanes in metropolitan areas and at least 746 km of tourist cycle paths. Cycle paths will facilitate first-mile and last-mile commuting – connecting locations in metropolitan areas to nearby railway or metro nodes, or universities to nearby railway or metro nodes. The eligible tourist cycle paths are defined in Law no. 208 of 28 December 2015.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 466.6 million.As part of this investment, the project aims at the construction of 15 km of urban and metropolitan cycle paths between the university buildings on the territory of Turin and Grugliasco, and also between them and the railway and interchange nodes of the same territory.
