Strategy for greening education and research infrastructure in Slovenia

In August 2023, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted the Strategy for greening education and research infrastructure, which sets out priorities for investments in greener education and research facilities. The Strategy is the basis for a systematic and development-oriented system of investment in the public education and research infrastructure of the Republic of Slovenia by 2030.

The strategy is crucial for the long-term development of public education and research infrastructure, with targeted investments in a better quality, cost-saving, low-carbon, energy efficient and modern-equipped building stock while respecting the ‘do no significant harm’ principle. Such planned investment can effectively contribute to the green and digital transitions and to a more sustainable education and research building stock.
