In Catalonia, a total of twelve radiotherapy oncology services have been equipped with the latest high-energy linear accelerators to tackle cancer treatment in an effective and personalized way, one of the health system's most important challenges.

These modern accelerators are distributed throughout the Catalan territory to guarantee accessibility and territorial balance in oncology care.

The accelerators will allow advanced radiotherapy treatments to be administered with great precision, with the aim of destroying tumors without affecting healthy tissue.

This high-precision technology will enable the administration of nearly 450 treatments per accelerator each year.

The initiative is part of the INVEAT Plan, which foresees a total investment of more than 94 million euros in the renovation and expansion of high-tech equipment in Catalonia for the performance of magnetic resonances, digital brachytherapies, tomography and vascular angiographs, among others.
