Copyright: Comune di Capaccio Plan for nurseries and preschools and early childhood education and care services (Mission 4 – Component 1 - Investment 1.1) Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for increasing the supply of childcare facilities by building, renovating and ensuring the safety of nurseries and preschools, to ensure an increase in the educational offer and the available slots for the 0-6 age group, and thus improve teaching quality. The measure is expected to encourage women’s participation in the labour market and support caregivers in reconciling family and professional life. The intervention is financed by EUR 1.6million.The investment is financed by Italy’s Recovery and Resilience plan by EUR 3.2 billion. The kindergarten, for children aged 0 to 2 years, was developed from bioecological criteria with the goal of achieving a building with a high level of comfort, which is energy sustainable and has a low impact on the environment. The project involves the construction of a single-story building of about 670 square meters, with a rectangular shape. The nursery will be able to accommodate about 60 children in three sections (one section for about 16 infants and two sections for about 22 divezzi each). The internal distribution of the rooms is designed to allow complete separation between the teaching and service sectors. Both sectors are accessed from the very large and bright entrance hall, which is also overlooked by the management office, secretary's office and a meeting room. The project includes a dedicated space for staff and teachers, a service corridor provides access to the toilet/dressing rooms, the 'infirmary, the laundry room and the kitchen with attached pantry.
