Copyright: Ljubo Vukelič / Municipality of Cerknica The aim of the project was to ensure the proper discharge and treatment of urban waste water in the village Begunje at Cerknica.In the village of Begunje at Cerknica, the connection of 879 units to the existing treatment plant will ensure that waste water is properly discharged and treated. A minimum of 98 % connection was ensured.The new sewer network is 9,625 m long. It has four pumping stations and is connected to the existing central treatment plant Cerknica. The installation of a solar power plant ensured the energy neutrality of the project.The Recovery and Resilience Facility provided funding of EUR 1 million, while the total value of the investment was EUR 6 million.
