Serviced Housing Units in Velenje – Žarova - Provision of public rental housing

The City Municipality of Velenje has constructed 12 serviced apartments, with the aim of enabling a higher quality of living particularly for senior citizens, enabling them to live in a friendly and familiar environment and enhancing their involvement in the community.

The newly constructed building provides six apartments of the size 57 square meters, suitable for two persons, and six apartments between 35 and 44 square meters, suitable for a single person. The building also includes common facilities for socialising.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility contribution to the investment is EUR 950,000, while the total value of the investment is EUR 2,400,000.

The project started in April 2021, with the selection of the design. The construction permit was acquired in April 2022 and the works started in July 2022. The project was completed by September 2023 when the keys were handed over to the first group of tenants.
